Case Study: Near REDACTED hackathon

BlockseBlock recently collaborated with Near for the REDACTED hackathon in the Indian region, aiming to provide localized support and better resources for builders. The results not only showcased the immense potential of the Indian developer community but also highlighted BlockseBlock's expertise in organizing large-scale hackathons. Here’s an in-depth look into how we executed this event and achieved remarkable success. Key Achievements: We achieved the following during the REDACTED hackathon Number of developers: 200+ Number of teams: 40+ Number of influencer partnerships: 3 Content reach: 100K Number of partner universities: 5 Number of workshops: 7 Apart from this, we ensured India had the highest number of developers and the highest number of projects submitted to this global hackathon for Near. Execution Strategy: Hackathon Format: We started with online workshops and then organized an offline workshop. In addition to the workshops, we provided dedicated developer support and individual doubt sessions to help developers build their projects on Near. Workshops: We organized six virtual workshops and one offline hackathon and workshop, equipping participants with key knowledge and development tools for developing on Near blockchain. Participants: With over 40 teams and 210 developers, the hackathon attracted people from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Projects: With the help of dedicated developer support, we ensured participants explored different themes and problem statements to develop diverse and impactful projects. Mentorship: Mentors provided valuable guidance through hands-on sessions, aiding participants with development concepts and project strategies. Feedback highlighted that these mentorship sessions were crucial for shaping ideas and overcoming technical obstacles. Impact and Feedback: Participant Feedback: 90% of participants reported being highly satisfied with the event organization and technical support. Adoption Rate: Over 60% of participants expressed interest in continuing to build on NEAR. Ecosystem Growth: The hackathon fostered a long-term community of developers who are building on NEAR. Lessons Learned: Localization Matters: Tailoring content to the Indian audience significantly boosted engagement. Pre-event Workshops: These were critical in helping participants navigate the NEAR ecosystem effectively. Hybrid Format: Combining online and in-person elements increased accessibility and participation.
